The National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) is calling for experts in Ireland to participate in standardisation in the area of Carbon dioxide capture, transportation, and geological storage.
NSAI has created a new national mirror committee, NSAI/TC 75 "Carbon dioxide capture, transportation, and geological storage ", which is following and contributing to ISO/TC 265 "Carbon dioxide capture, transportation, and geological storage".
The National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) is inviting expressions of interest in getting involved in the standardisation work of NSAI/TC 75.
You can register your interest online below. On completion of the form we will get in touch to process the application and discuss potential ways to get involved.
ISO/TC 265 Scope:
Standardization of design, construction, operation, environmental planning and management, risk management, quantification, monitoring and verification, and related activities in the field of carbon dioxide capture, transportation, and geological storage (CCS).
ISO/TC 265 are currently developing the following standards:
ISO/AWI 27913, Carbon dioxide capture, transportation and geological storage — Pipeline transportation systems
ISO/AWI 27914, Carbon dioxide capture, transportation and geological storage — Geological storage
ISO/AWI TR 27925, Flow Assurance
ISO/AWI TR 27926, Carbon dioxide enhanced oil recovery (CO2-EOR) - Transitioning from EOR to storage
ISO/AWI 27927, Carbon dioxide capture, transportation and geological storage — Key performance parameters and characterization methods of absorption liquids for post-combustion CO2 capture
ISO/AWI 27928, Carbon dioxide capture, transportation and geological storage — Performance evaluation methods for CO2 capture plants connected with CO2 intensive plants
ISO/AWI TR 27929, Transportation of CO2 by ship
For the full scope of work of ISO/TC 265, see ISO - ISO/TC 265 - Carbon dioxide capture, transportation, and geological storage
