ISO 14001:2026 Transition Policy
NSAI has published its transition policy for organisations wishing to transition their certification to I.S. EN ISO 14001:2026 Environmental Management Systems.
Following the publication of the updated standard, all organisations currently certified to I.S. EN ISO 14001:2015 must transition to the new version by 30 April 2029. After this date, certification to I.S. EN ISO 14001:2015 will no longer be valid.
The transition requirements also apply to new and prospective applicants seeking ISO 14001 certification. From 31 October 2027, new certifications will only be issued to I.S. EN ISO 14001:2026.
Organisations are encouraged to review the updated standard and begin planning their transition in advance of the deadline. Full details, including key dates and transition requirements, are available in the NSAI transition policy.
