Regarding Hale Microtax-05 (MCT-05) and the Hale SPT-01.

Please note that these taximeter models have been discontinued for quite some years now and the manufacturer no longer offers support (such as firmware or tariff updates).

NSAI Legal Metrology have been informed by the Manufacturer, Hale Electronic, the automatic calendar and correspondingly the tariff programs for these taximeters will only work until December 31st, 2025. After this date, the date on the taximeter can no longer be set manually, public holidays are no longer calculated and there is no longer an automatic time adjustment for daylight savings switchover.

Considering the situation, we advise all owners/operators of these taximeters to contact their respective taximeter installers for further information and to seek a replacement taximeter.
