Sub-contract Role – Food, QEHS and Energy Management System Auditors

NSAI Certification Services have a number of opportunities available for sub-contract auditors who will be engaged in auditing the management of businesses to ISO standards including Food Safety, Quality, Environmental Occupational Health & Safety, IT Security and Energy Management standards.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Conduct registration, surveillance and recertification activities and process documentation associated with assessment of conformity to the related management system standard(s).
  • Communicate with assigned clients and NSAI staff to ensure efficient audit planning and timely resolution of questions and non-conformities.Maintain and expand technical expertise in specific product fields.
  • Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with customers.
  • Follow up on customer requests in a timely manner
  • Be responsible for diary management and administration duties associated with the role.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality on matters relating to clients’ operations.
  • Undertake travel throughout Ireland and abroad to evaluate applications for Certification and Registration Schemes operated by NSAI.

 

Qualifications and Experience
Essential

  • Successful completion of a university or a technical college degree or equivalent qualification in relevant studies (NFQ level 8 or above), e.g. Engineering, Science or other relevant discipline
  • Five years’ professional experience - Ideally the candidate will have worked in one or more of the following industries, Food and Beverages, Pharmaceutical, Construction, Engineering, Manufacturing, Renewable Energy, Information Technology.
  • The preferred candidate will have auditing experience and will be a member of a professional body (IRCA, CQI, IOSH).
  • Training or qualification as a Management System Auditor or Lead Auditor
  • For ISO 50001 (Energy Management), the preferred candidate will be a member of a professional body (AEE, Energy Institute or equivalent) & hold a recognised certification in energy – Certificated Energy Auditor (CEA) or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or equivalent.
  • For ISO 27001 (IT Security), the preferred candidate would hold a CISA, CISM or CISSP qualification or be working towards professional membership in this field. Other relevant information security exams will be considered (CEH, GIAC, etc.)

 

Technical Competencies

  • Appropriate certifications for specific auditing functions; minimum two of the following: ISO22000, FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001
  • 4 years of documented experience for specific audit types and demonstrated proof of providing these services to other companies with excellent results
  • Broad knowledge of domestic and international regulatory compliance laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of management systems and related standards and guidance documents

  • Strong Project Management, planning, organisational and administrative skills
  • Attention to detail with a key focus on note taking and report writing.
