Standards Supporting SME Cybersecurity
The National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI), in partnership with Small Business Standards (SBS) and supported by the European project REGo_ETSI, hosted an event at The Collaboratory, TU Dublin Blanchardstown, focused on helping SMEs navigate the evolving cyber security landscape.
With experts from policy, standards, industry, innovation and academia, the event focused on the cyber security challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises, highlighting the role of standards.
Speakers came from diverse types of organisations and perspectives, including European and international standardisation organisations, certification bodies, public-sector authorities, academia and applied research centres, large technology industry, SMEs, SME representative bodies and enterprise support agencies.
They shared insights on policy developments, emerging cyber security requirements, and practical supports available to SMEs seeking to strengthen their cyber resilience. Across a series of presentations and discussions, the event explored:
