Awards of Distinction

NSAI Chief Executive Geraldine Larkin congratulated all of the firms on their achievement and said their respective success was a clear testament to the importance of international certification, which is underpinned by standards.

“Achieving certification takes hard work and dedication. It can only occur when a team of smart, competent, dedicated people work together, but it also takes great leadership and a team effort,” said Ms Larkin.

“To maintain that level of quality over two decades is truly an admirable achievement. I wish all of the companies every success and look forward to continuing NSAI’s close relationship with them in the future,” she added.

The Awards of Distinction were handed out during a special NSAI business forum, which was held as part of the General Assembly of IQNet, the international network of certification bodies.  Speakers at the event included Mr. Michael Drechsel, IQNet President; Mr. Paul Lynam, Head of Sectoral Policy, British Irish Chamber of Commerce; Mr. Pat Ivory, Director of EU & International Affairs, IBEC and Mr. Conor Mulvihill, Director, Irish Dairy Industries Association.

The award also forms part of NSAI’s 20th anniversary celebrations, an ongoing series of events to mark two decades of the National Standards Authority of Ireland in its current guise.
