The NSAI wishes to announce the launch of a period of public consultation for:
prEN 206-3 - Concrete - Specification, performance, production and conformity - Part 3: Additional requirements for specification and conformity of concrete for special geotechnical works
Public consultation period: From 15/8/2024 until 10/10/2024, inclusive.
prEN 206-3 forms part of a revision and restructure of EN 206:2013 +A2:2016 - Concrete - Specification, performance, production and conformity.
prEN 206-3 is based on the contents of Annex D from EN 206:2013 +A2:2021 covering the additional requirements for the specification and conformity of concrete for special geotechnical works [foundation engineering]. Annex D of EN 206:2013 +A2:2021 has been completely incorporated into prEN 206-3, while the following new key points are also included in the development of prEN 206-3:
- testing standards on fresh concrete properties as an addition to the EN 12350-series;
- reference to non-specified material like cementitious compounds, clay minerals or “special admixtures”;
- reference to temporary works;
- reference to non-structural members.
The document forms part of three European Standards, written by CEN/TC 104 and covering specification, performance, production and conformity of concrete.
- EN 206-1 - Concrete — Specification, performance, production and conformity — Part 1: Performance, requirements, factory production control and assessment criteria for individual values.
- EN 206-2 - Concrete — Specification, performance, production and conformity — Part 2: Conformity assessment and certification.
- EN 206-3 - Concrete — Specification, performance, production and conformity — Part 3: Additional requirements for specification and conformity of concrete for special geotechnical works
