Proposed Withdrawal of Standards in the Paint Industry
The NSAI are proposing the withdrawal of a number of standards within the paint industry.
Many of the following standards are for review at international level and are available through the links below.
I.S. ISO 6503:1988 Paints and Varnishes - Determination of Total Lead - Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometric Method.
- It is currently under systematic review in the International Organisation for Standards (ISO). Please find more information here
I.S. ISO 6713:1988 Paints and Varnishes - Preparation of Acid Extracts from Paints in Liquid or Powder Form
- It is currently under systematic review in the International Organisation for Standards (ISO). Please find more information here
I.S. ISO 787-1:1988 General Methods of Test for Pigments and Extenders. Part 1: Comparison of Colour of Pigments
- This standard has been adopted at European level and the NSAI are withdrawing the Irish version. Please find more information here
