NSAI has launched a public consultation for the draft Pre-cast Concrete Sewer Pipes and Fittings

Public consultation period:From 3rd of July until 3rd of September, inclusive.

The scope of the draft

I.S. 6:202X specifies respectively complementary requirements to those in I.S. EN 1916:2002 for unreinforced and reinforced concrete pipes with nominal sizes up to DN 1750. Requirements are also specified for circular pipes greater than DN 1750 up to DN 3 000.   

Where the content of this standard relates directly to provisions in I.S. EN 1916:2002, this is identified in the headings of this document; the numbers in brackets are the numbers of the corresponding clause in I.S. EN 1916:2002.

This standard applies to precast concrete pipes and fittings for conveyance of sewage, rainwater, and surface water under gravity in pipelines that are generally buried. 

This standard does not apply to egg shaped piping.
