The National Standards Authority of Ireland wishes to announce the launch of a period of public comment on the draft National Annex to the following Irish Standards.

Irish National Annex to I.S. EN 1555-1:2010
  • Plastics piping systems for the supply of gaseous fuels
  • Polyethylene (PE) — Part 1: General

This National Annex sets out the requirements for any gas works undertaken on leisure accommodation vehicles with the scope of I.S. EN 1949:2011.

This National Annex sets out a method by which existing LPG systems in vehicles with leisure accommodation, campervans, caravans and mobile homes, which have been already constructed and commissioned, are inspected by a competent person (Registered Gas Installer) to ensure that the LPG systems are safe for continued operation.

This National Annex sets out a method by which the appliances can be serviced.

This National Annex specifies the colour of the base compound of peelable PE pipe and the colour of the external peelable layer of peelable PE pipe as required in 5.2 of I.S. EN 1555-2:2010, see NA.4


Irish National Annex to I.S. EN 1949:2011
  • Specification for the installation of LPG systems for habitation purposes in leisure accommodation vehicles and accommodation purposes in other vehicles

This National Annex specifies the colour of the base compound of peelable pipe and the colour of the external peelable layer of peelable pipe required in 4.2.2 of I.S. EN 1555-1:2010.
