Introduction
The Beauty Professional Standards Service Group (BPSSG) is the national mirror committee for CEN TC 409 – Beauty Salon Services. The committee has representatives from beauty salons owners, educators in the industry, suppliers of beauty salon products and insurance providers. The BPSSG is the national forum to advise NSAI on the development of standards for beauty salon services.
Our Vision and Mission
To ensure professional beauty therapists are suitably qualified for the treatments they offer to and to set out good practices for the establishment and management of a beauty salon. The key focus is on the safety and comfort of the client.
Standards We Are Responsible for:
The BPSSG monitors the work of CEN TC 409 – Beauty salon services which is developing EN 17226 – Beauty Salon services – Requirements and recommendations for the provision of service. The standard was published in 2019 - buy it here I.S. EN 17226:2019.
