Dear customers and stakeholders,

In the extraordinary circumstances created by the COVID-19 emergency as we all face challenges and make difficult decisions in our work and personal lives, I want to assure you that NSAI has robust plans in place to see us through the days and weeks ahead.

Our priorities are to protect the safety and well-being of all our staff whilst continuing to provide a high level of service to our certification and calibration clients, standards stakeholders, traders and the general public.

We have the ability to work remotely and will adapt our working arrangements and practices to ensure we can continue to deliver our standards development, conformity assessment, inspection and calibration services in this changed environment.  Our work in medical device certification supports the government’s healthcare response and we will prioritise work to ensure where we can that manufacturers can produce and supply the right products needed for healthcare workers and patients in our hospitals.

We have cancelled all presence required events, training and meetings scheduled for our headquarters in Swift Square, Northwood, Santry and regional offices.  All of our offices are now closed to visitors except the National Metrology Laboratory in Glasnevin which remains open for essential business (contact on 01 8082605).  We will continue working using video/phone conferencing to conduct meetings and audits and you can contact staff members by phone or email as normal or via our main switch board at 01 807 3800.

I thank you for your support and understanding at this time and ask you to continue to work with us to deliver a quality service.  I wish you and your families, friends and colleagues keep well in the coming weeks.
