The scope of the standard:
This standard applies to unreinforced concrete cylindrical pipes and fittings with ogee joints for the conveyance of surface water when laid in trenches or ditches where there is no possibility of any excessive backfill or traffic load and where leakage at the joints is desired or is of no consequence
