The National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) is calling for experts in Ireland to participate in standardisation in the area of Biogas.
NSAI has created a new national mirror committee, NSAI/TC 76 "Biogas", which is following and contributing to ISO/TC 255 "Biogas".
The National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) is inviting expressions of interest in getting involved in the standardisation work of NSAI/TC 76 "Biogas".
You can register your interest online below. On completion of the form we will get in touch to process the application and discuss potential ways to get involved.
ISO/TC 255 Scope:
Standardization in the field of biogas produced by anaerobic digestion, gasification from biomass and power to gas from biomass sources.
ISO/TC 255 are currently developing the following standards:
ISO/DTR 23585, Safety and environment guidelines for biogas plants, biogas transportation, and biogas use
ISO/AWI 23898, Gasification systems for bio-syngas and biomethane production
For the full scope of work of ISO/TC 255, see ISO - ISO/TC 255 - Biogas
CEN/TC 408 Scope:
Standardization of specifications for natural gas and biomethane as fuel for engines and of biomethane for injection in the natural gas grid, including any necessary related methods of analysis and testing. Standardization of specifications for biogas production (methanisation, gasification and methanation). Mirror committee of ISO/TC 255 'Biogas'.
CEN/TC 408 are currently developing the following standard:
prEN ISO 24252, Biogas systems - Non-household and non-gasification (ISO 24252:2021)
For the full scope of work of CEN/TC 408, see CEN - CEN/TC 408 (cencenelec.eu)
