NSAI announces the publication of an Amendment to S.R. 54:2014 Code of practice for energy efficient retrofit of dwellings (Amendment 2).
This Amendment was developed by the NSAI Technical Committee for Retrofit of existing dwellings (NSAI/TC 40)
This amendment revises information provided on the existing case studies A, B, and C (sections 5.5.1 to 5.5.4 of the document) for retrofitting of dwellings, including recalculation of the energy performance ratings using the Dwelling Energy Assessment Procedure (DEAP), in line with the Major Renovations requirement of Building Regulations and to support Climate Action Plan targets of 500,000 retrofits to B2.
The scope of this Standard Recommendation addresses the energy retrofit of the building fabric and services of detached, semi-detached and terraced dwellings of not more than three stories.
