In response to the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak, NSAI would like to issue the following guidance to those scheduled to attend our offices for meetings, events or training in the short to medium term.
NSAI is monitoring the situation closely and is following official Irish government advice on the issue. Where possible our goal is to continue to operate business as usual, whilst keeping safety an absolute priority.
With this in mind, it has been agreed that, with immediate effect,
- any meetings scheduled up to 13th April will be held online, postponed or cancelled.
- your NSAI Standards contact will be in contact with more details.
We continue to monitor developments relating to the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) and engage with colleagues across Government including the Department of Health, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation, in relation to further precautionary measures.
We will keep you appraised of further developments in relation to Covid-19 (Coronavirus) as they arise. For information on a particular event or meeting, please contact the NSAI event organiser directly.
We refer all experts to Department of Foreign Affairs travel advice and HSE guidance on how to protect yourself and others.
We recommend that NSAI experts who are scheduled to attend any CEN, CENELEC, ISO, IEC or ETSI meetings, which have not been organised by NSAI, should
- contact the relevant Technical Body secretariats to confirm meeting arrangements;
- establish country specific safety and travel guidance;
before making any decisions regarding attendance.
Information is also available from ISO and CEN and CENELEC with regard to meetings.
For up to date information relating to a particular event, please contact the relevant NSAI staff member.
Thanking you for your co-operation at this difficult time for all. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have particular concerns.
