Revision to I.S. 370 Colour code for buried plastics piping

 

Scope

The colour code applies to all types of plastic used for the manufacture of pipe and duct that is intended for direct or indirect burial below ground.
  The code does not cover plastic land drainage pipes.
The code does not cover identification marking applied to the surface of pipe.
The code does not cover existing plastic ducts, which are subsequently used for gas, electricity or other services.
 

Reason for revision

The standard has not been revised since it was published in 2007 and I.S. EN 1555-1 - Plastics piping systems for the supply of gaseous fuels - Polyethylene (PE) - Part 1: General has been revised and now includes new colours for buried plastic pipework used for gas.
