Construction Products Regulations (CPR)

As part of the Better Regulation initiative, CPR intends to bring about

  • Clarification of the basic concepts and of the use of CE marking;
  • Simplification of the procedures, so as to reduce the costs incurred by enterprises, in particular SMEs; and
  • increased credibility for the whole system.

The CPR has already entered into force. However, the main parts of its substantial Articles shall apply first from 1 July 2013. The following links provide further informaiton.

Minister Breen appoints James Kennedy as Chairperson to the Board of NSAI

The Minister of State for Trade, Employment, Business, EU Digital Single Market and Data Protection, Pat Breen T.D., today announced the appointment of Mr James Kennedy as Chairperson to the Board of the NSAI.
