This National Annex has been prepared by the NSAI Eurocodes Consultative Committee, NSAI/TC015. In the republic of Ireland it is to be used in conjunction with I.S. EN 1997-1:2004+A1:2013.
A major change from the previous national annex is the inclusion of Annex NB.
I.S. EN 1997-1:2004+A1:2013 is intended to be used with I.S. EN 1990:2002+A1:2005, which establishes the principles and requirements for safety and serviceability, describes the basis of design and verification and gives guidance for related aspects of structural stability.
Changes in this revised national annex include the addition of Annex NB. Annex NB contains the values or decisions on NDPs for partial and correlation factors for ultimate limit state design. Table NA.1 in Annex NA contains the value or decision for NDPs from clauses in the main document of EN 1997-1:2004 + A1:2013. Annex NB contains the value or decision for NDPs from clauses in Annex A of EN 1997-1:2004 + A1:2013. Where a clause in Table NA.1 deals with partial and correlation factors for ultimate limit state design, the user will be guided to Annex NB.
This draft is subject to ongoing development and change.
Any comments or proposed changes submitted will be considered by the relevant technical panel.
