I.S. 3217:2013 Emergency Lighting has under gone a review and the resulting draft amendment is now available for public comment.
The aim of this Irish Standard is to promote wider understanding of the different types of emergency lighting systems and modes of operation which may be employed, and to give guidance on their correct application in accordance with the European standards, to the varied requirements of different categories of premises.
The emergency lighting system is an integral part of the overall design of the premises.
The Draft Amendment contains a number of revisions, with the main changes being made to Clause 10 Central Powered Systems, the inclusion of a new informative Annex K and an update to 8.5.2.2 Lift cars and lift shafts.
