Assured Confidence

Electrical and Electronic

Electronics is the largest manufacturing industry in Ireland with over 30,000 people involved in a wide range of sub-sectors including computer systems and sub systems, peripherals and media, electronic components, data communication equipment, control and test systems and consumer electronics.

With advances in technology, the need for standards is paramount. Search and view the range of standards available by visiting www.standards.ie.

NSAI offer product certification to the Irish Mark of Electrical Conformity (IMEC) which is the equivalent to the Irish Standard Mark but aimed directly at the safety of electrical and electronic products. THE IMEC Mark, usable only with the authority of NSAI, may be applied to products that comply with a range of electrical standards including, but not limited to, Irish Standards.
