25th ISO/IEC JTC 1 Plenary Meeting 2010

This year, the annual meeting of ISO/IEC JTC 1, the international committee responsible for ICT standardization, comes to Belfast (Europa Hotel, 8-13 November 2010) and will be co-hosted by the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) and the British Standards Institution (BSI).

The value of standards

In a global marketplace, with increasingly convergent technology, the value of standards cannot be overstated.  In fact, the job of managing quality, safety or security (not to mention interoperability) would be impossible without commonly-agreed specifications and good practice.

Sponsorship opportunities

Who writes these international codes and what current trends are shaping the standards of the future?  NSAI and BSI offer sponsors a unique opportunity to gain an insight into the process, engage with stakeholders from government, industry and academia - and learn more about tomorrow’s standards, today!

Whether you are seeking to showcase innovative technologies, raise the profile of your destination as a centre of investment or wish to support us in bringing the JTC 1 Plenary to a wider audience, NSAI and BSI would be delighted to hear from you.

JTC1 is not an open meeting.  Only delegates officially nominated by a National Standards Body and the representatives of other technical committees in liaise may attend.
