Japanese Pharmaceutical Affairs Law by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare
The distribution of medical devices in Japan is regulated in accordance with the Pharmaceutical Affairs Law by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Revision of the Pharmaceutical Affairs Law was enforced on April 1, 2005 which included third party certification systems for Class II medical devices.
