Approval Scheme For Fabricators - Metal Web Beams

Scheme outline

The correct fabrication of metal web beams is essential to ensure the performance of the product in use. Therefore it is necessary to supplement NSAI Agrément Certificates for metal web beams, with the evaluation of a metal web beam fabricator's site-specific fabrication process. If the evaluation is successful:

• the approved Fabricator will be allocated an approved Fabricator Number associated with the relevant Certificate;
• the approval Fabricator listed on the NSAI Agrément website as an 'Approved Fabricator' for the product specified in the relevant NSAI Agrément certificate;
• the approved fabrication site will also be listed.

The scheme specifies the provisions for evaluation, approval and on-going surveillance of Fabricators of metal web beam, against:

• the requirements set out in the valid certificate
• the certificate specific manufacturing instructions
• the agreed quality plan and
• any relevant information provided by the certificate holder.
